→ It’s great when we’re able to get an ACCE ally elected to office. It’s even better when we get an ACCE member elected to office. Jose Rodriguez proudly represents the National City community as both an ACCE member, and a City Councilmember. He supported the local rent control ballot measure in National City, and as city councilmember, he championed district voting. We would expect the same alignment and allyship from his role as Mayor. In order to win the mayorship, Jose Rodriguez is facing off against the incumbent, do-nothing Mayor, Alejandra Sotelo-Solis, who has proven to be a disappointment during her tenure in office. In addition to ACCE’s support, Jose Rodriguez also counts on the support from the San Diego Labor Council, and the San Diego County Democratic Party.
