It’s time – this year we will restore billions in funding for schools and local communities by closing the Proposition 13 corporate loophole once and for all. We have two months to collect 900,000 signatures to qualify the Schools and Local Communities Funding Act for the November ballot – and we need your help.
The Prop 13 corporate loophole allows big oil and wealthy landowners to evade billions of dollars in property taxes which are needed to fund K-12 classrooms, health clinics, fire services, parks, community colleges and libraries. We need to act now to regain these resources for our children and our future, especially as we face federal threats to funding for Medi-Care, schools and the safety net.
Thousands of parents, students, homeowners, teachers and everyday Californians across the state are fired up and ready to fight to reclaim the billions owed our schools and neighborhoods. Will you join?
