ACCE Members are playing a critical role in leading the movement for rent control throughout Sacramento. In early 2018, ACCE organized the residents of 91 person building and successfully organized a tenant association which even got the landlord to agree in writing that he would go through the tenant’s association before issuing any tenant evictions. In the fall of 2018, after months and months of collecting signatures, we played a critical role in successfully placing rent control and just cause evictions on the Sacramento ballot to be voted on in November 2020!
