→ ACCE helped get Tamisha elected to city council two years ago, having earned ACCE’s support and trust based on her years of hard work in the community. Through her involvement in the Safe Return Project, Tamisha has been fighting to empower people who have been impacted by the criminal legal system. Just as she’s advocated for community as an organizer, Tamisha has advocated for community in her time as the CD 1 councilmember in Antioch. As councilmember, Tamisha introduced and successfully passed the law establishing rent control in Antioch, which will have impactful and immediate benefit for renters across the city. Just like we supported and fought to get Tamisha elected back then, we’re at it again now—because the truth is that she’s just getting started.
