→ Sacramento is at a moment of opportunity, and Karina Talamantes is poised to meet the moment to the benefit of Sacramentans. There are 8 seats on the Sacramento City Council, and—so far—only 2 progressives. In November, with Karina, we can add to that number. Karina comes to this moment with a plan. Despite the money that the real estate industry is spending against her campaign, Karina continues to support rent control, a tenant’s right to counsel, rental assistance, and public housing. Karina comes to this moment with experience. She has been President of the Sacramento County Board of Education, served in the Obama administration, and has worked as Chief of Staff to city councilmember Angelique Ashby. With Karina Talamantes representing CD3, and with a growing progressive block of city councilmembers, Sacramento is entering a moment that we can be proud of.
